WTAMU Spanish faculty are active members of the Panhandle Language Teacher Association (PLTA), alongside faculty from Texas Tech University.
In collaboration with the Department of English, Philosophy, and Monder Lanugages at WT and the Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literature at Texas Tech University, PLTA hosts professional development workshops each fall and spring. These workshops provide Continuing Education (CE) hours while creating opportunities for teachers to exchange ideas, learn innovative instructional strategies, and build lasting professional connections.
PLTA reflects our commitment to strengthening language education and fostering a vibrant community of educators across the Texas Panhandle.
